This Carpenter Adze features a 5lb head with a 5" straight cutting edge. Designed to be swung downward, with two hands, the Carpenter Adze is commonly used for hand-shaping timbers and logs but is also used somewhat like a large chisel. 

The Warwood Tool Carpenter Adze is proudly hand-forged from American steel by American workers in Wheeling, WV — just the way it has been for more than 100 years.
